The photo-reporter of the year: Péter Takáts

It is already a tradition for the Hungarian House of Photography – Mai Manó House and the Association of Hungarian Photo-reporters to stage an exhibition for the grand prix-winner of Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition, the owner of the “Press Photo of the Year” title. In 2009, the prize went to Péter Takáts.

Péter Takáts (1982)

After finishing high school, he attended the photographical trade school in Práter Street, and later the photo-reporter faculty of Bálint György Academy of MÚOSZ. In 2003, he became an apprentice in MTI. One year later, he was offered a job at Napi Ász, the newly founded tabloid, where he spent three years. From 2007, he works as photo reporter to the daily Bors. He is a member of the Section of Crime Reporters and the Association of Hungarian Sport Journalists.
