Éva Strausz lived with her parents and brother at 63. Lenin Boulevard in Budapest until end of 1956. Then the family decided to
leave to the Netherlands. She got educated there topping with a Diploma in Photography at Rietveld Academy of arts. Her tutor was Jaap
d’Oliviera, the famous photographer of architecture. Strausz worked for the Stedelijk Museum in 1969-70, later she was committed by an
architecture office in Hilversum. She taught photography at the University of Amsterdam between 1977 and 1986. She founded the
Association of the Photographers in Amsterdam. Strausz published a number of books, her work appeared in the media and was presented at
several exhibitions in the Netherlands and Germany. A selection of her photos is displayed to the Hungarian public at Mai Manó Gallery.
