Ces photos illustrent des valeurs européennes, comme la dignité humaine, la liberté, les concepts de
démocratie, d’égalité et d’État de droit. Le traitement du thčme de l’exposition est important, parce
que nous sommes convaincus qu’il y a lieu de montrer quelque chose d’inhabituel, pour que l'on puisse
voir ŕ nouveau émerger ces valeurs et, aprčs avoir observé les photos, penser ŕ nous-męmes et aux
autres, ŕ nos ressemblances et différences.

De foto’s brengen Europese waarden over, zoals de menselijke waardigheid, de vrijheid, de ideeën van de
democratie, de gelijkheid en de rechtsstaat. De bewerking van het thema van de expositie is belangrijk,
want we zijn ervan overtuigd dat er nood is om iets ongebruikelijks te tonen, zodat we, na het bekijken
van de foto’s, opnieuw de waarden zien en aan onszelf en anderen denken, hoe gelijk en hoe verschillend
we wel zijn.
The strenght of the exhibited documentary photos is mostly in the realism inherent in the past events
that they reproduce, thereby going beyond the concrete situations in life. The photos mirror the
authenticity of the experience and reflect on the artists genuine way of questioning on the ideals of
European values, such as Freedom, Democracy, Solidarity, Equality and Human dignity. Beyond dispute, the
applied perception is by no means ordinary, the parallel manifestation might be seen undoubtedly powerful
in a way that it illustrates the one and the same human values from various perspectives. One may
understand all at once: the emphasise is beyond 'Here' and 'Now'. It is imperative that we all become
conscious of said values over and over again so that we discover others and ourselves, by admitting that
we are each equal and diverse....Here and Now.
